Why is HerbMed® different?
Most herbal resources on the World Wide Web provide summaries of the data that have been interpreted and presented from a particular point of view. HerbMed provides "as is", neutral access to the data underlying the medicinal use of herbs. HerbMed also provides uniquely comprehensive access to the available scientific publications and data on each herb, with dynamic updating to ensure completeness. See Help file for further clarification.
Hyperlinked access to categorized data enables creative cross-referencing and unexpected links that can provide fresh research insights. This contrasts with a bibliographic collection of flat files that can only produce uncategorized, lists.
Individuals can send suggestions for herbs you would like us to research to the Information Desk. If we have the resources we will take up your suggestions.
